A State of the Art, The Present and Future State of Music (long title, I know) from 3GM.hu looks at the current statistics behind music streaming and consumption. Personally, I can’t believe the statistic that 85% of listening is still consumed from the Radio?!? I haven’t listened to an actual radio station for years! I listen to everything through my iPhone.

One of the coolest things about working at DP is not only that we can bring our dogs to work, but that most of us actually DO bring them. When I agreed to contribute to our company blog I decided it’d make sense that my first post discuss my area of expertise as it relates to one of my favorite things about DP culture – DOGS! …which is not (of course) compatible with macs. Unless “you have Windows (XP, Vista, 7) and Excel 2007/2010 running on your Mac using Parallels or Boot Camp”.
But if you ARE using windows and you spend as much time as I do on reports, then you just freed up 40 hours a month.
As for me? I’m totally bummed.

Foursquare released this inforgraphic which shows usage and adoption patterns across the globe.
I am pleasantly surprised to see New Zealand as bright as it is considering the number of users we have here. I predict that by the end of this year, we’ll be much brighter on a similar list.
Remember when no one had color screens & cameras on their mobiles..and, suddenly everyone had one? I think the rate of adoption of smartphones - facilitated by low-end cost effective models will also happen at a similar pace.
